Scientific studies show a positive link between the practice of yoga and fertility.

1. In 2010, Doctor Alice Domar of the Mind/Body Institute at Harvard Medical Center conducted a study with women suffering from infertility.

After 10 weeks of practicing Fertility Yoga at the rate of 2 sessions per week, we observe a pregnancy rate of 52% against 20% in the control group.

The study also shows that stress can be a blocking factor in ovulation.

2. In 2017, the Akanksha IVF Center medical center in New Delhi, India , set up a study with women in the IVF cycle.

Group A attended 3 months of yoga, i.e. 30 sessions involving asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises) before undergoing a frozen embryo transfer and group B did not follow any yoga sessions before undergoing transfer of frozen embryos.

Result : The pregnancy rate was significantly better in group A: 63.46% compared to group B: 43.39% .

The study also shows a significant reduction in depression and anxiety after practicing yoga.

Be careful, when we talk about yoga, it is a gentle yoga that is based on postures that stimulate blood flow as well as the flow of energy in order to nourish the reproductive organs. Fertility Yoga  helps reduce anxiety levels and is also based on calming breathing techniques and positive visualizations.

Yoga sessions are organized in group classes every Wednesday noon and Saturday morning online with ZOOM and adapted according to where you are in your menstrual cycle:

  • Phase 1 from D5 to D14 (follicular phase), dynamic practice

  • Phase 2 from D15 to 28 (luteal phase), ideal calm practice also in case of endometriosis
